amazing if you heat emboss it in silver or gold. Just sayin'
Number of Years is a versatile set that is so great for
birthdays, anniversaries...this is the card I made for
my niece last year.

OnStage Live - The Rest of the Story

For most, I'm sure that Friday was their favourite day. This is the day that we got to play with new product! There were (I think) 6 sessions devoted to different, new stamping products and how to use them, promote them and make your customers fall in love with them (don't worry, you will 😉).  All very helpful ideas. It’s just that…I don’t really…..stamp well with others.  LOL!  While I love the tips and seeing the beautiful samples, I really enjoy the hard core business training. I made a couple of cards using new products that I can’t show you but then I sneaked out and did a little shopping at the City Creek Center.  WOW!  What a beautiful shopping center.

I wandered around for a bit and then, stopped in at a gorgeous little grocery store call Harmons Grocery and picked up some take away and went back to my room. I was looking forward to watching tv and relaxing and that is EXACTLY what I did.

We were up and at’em again early Saturday morning, Starbucks in hand, back to the Salt Palace. Lots and lots of recognition, lots and lots of stamping demonstrations, lots and lots of laughs and lots of lots of “star-struck’ness”. I was hesitant (because I’m awkward and shy) to meet anybody “famous” but my upline Gen insisted.
Me in the middle. Sara Douglas (CEO) on my right and
Shelli Gardner (Co-Founder!!) on my left. #starstruck
We had a second Silver Elite and above session (lunch, more Jason Hewlett, discussions, business building strategies) and it was my favorite part of the trip. There were laughs, tears, learning and more laughs and tears.

Some more recognition, some more FREE STUFF and we were done. Our group enjoyed an Olive Garden dinner and were honored to have the amazing Dale Hampshire, Canadian Stampin’ Up! Manager (my apologies – I don’t know his specific title) join us. We laughed more (are you getting a theme here?), ate too much and capped off a great couple of days.

Up early again on Sunday morning – a much quicker flight home and I was in bed early. I couldn’t even manage to stay up to watch Shameless.

I’m so excited to receive my pre-order (yup…I placed it from SLC) and start putting some new practices into effect in my business.

If you would like to talk more about becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I am ALWAYS available to talk about and answer your questions. Just think, you could come along in 2018 when Stampin’ Up! celebrates its 30 year anniversary and celebrates OnStage Live in Orlando, Florida!!

Stamparatus Q&A

Q.  When can I reserve my Stamparatus?
A.  Today (November 16th to 30th)!  Squeeee!  At 4:00 p.m. EST

Q.  How do I reserve my Stamparatus?
A.  Normally you order Stampin' Up! products through my online store (or directly through me); in this case, go to my Online store  and click the RESERVE link on the Stamparatus page. This is a brand new way of reserving/ordering so my fingers are crossed that everything goes smoothly. I expect that demand for the first day or so will be very overwhelming.  Here's hoping that Stampin' Up! doesn't break the internet!  If there are any updates regarding the ordering process, I will post here

Q.  Why do I need a Stamparatus?
A.  For starters, you'll make multiples with ease; you'll consistently stamp crisp, clean images; if you want a darker impression, apply more ink and restamp - no need to start over; you'll make fewer mistakes (not that you ever make any); you'll easily create 2, 3 and 4-step stamped images using the 2 reversible plates - that's a total of 4 surfaces; you'll LOVE it!!

Q.  I don't have a Stampin' Up! customer account - what should I do?
A.  Go to my website now and create one!!!

Q.  How much does it cost and how/when do I pay for my Stamparatus?
A.  The Stamparatus is a very affordable $65 CDN. You will need a credit card to reserve your Stamparatus but your card won't be charged until the Stamparatus arrives at the Stampin' Up! inventory warehouse and you go to your shopping cart and finalize the order.

Q.  What if I can't reserve my Stamparatus today?
A.  There will be 2 more reservation windows available - December 5th to 30th 2017 and January 15th to 30th 2018.  It will also be available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue.

Q.  How did you come up with the name Stamparatus?
A.  We combined two words that speak to the end use of the tool:  Stamp - to impress a pattern or mark (especially an official one) on a surface, object or document using an engraved or inked block or die or other instrument; Apparatus - the technical equipment or machinery needed for a particular activity or purpose.

Q.  What if I still have questions about the Stamparatus?
A.  Contact me at

On Stage Live - Day 1 Recap

The OnStage Live event was held from Thursday November 9th until Saturday November 11th we arrived the day before and left the day after.

Our flight was delayed (over an hour!) and I am not the best flyer in the world so when we did finally take-off, I was just a little stressed out.

The flight seemed long and uncomfortable but we arrived safely (obviously) and without much turbulence or anything. We quickly got a shuttle and headed to the hotel.

In my mind I really wanted to have some wine and chat and share the excitement with the other girls (I was part of a group of 9 ladies from my “team”) but the reality is that I’m 52 years old and even though it was only about 9:00 p.m. local time, it was 11:00 p.m. in MY time and I knew I had a busy schedule ahead of me so I went straight to my room, unpacked, ordered some room service and got into bed. It was a bit of a rough night – I kept waking up and figuring out what the “real” time was. LOL!

We headed out in the morning for a quick breakfast. I was fascinated by the crosswalk flags. The idea is that you take a flag before you cross at a crosswalk and then leave it on the other side. Kind of a cool idea – I had never heard of it before.
That's me, holding my flag as I crossed the street to the Salt Palace.
After breakfast we headed to the Salt Palace Convention Centre and got into a VERY LONG line to register and collect our “loot bag” which included a copy of the NEW OCCASIONS and SALE-A-BRATION catalogs!

I was so excited to receive my name badge and ALL of these ribbons recognizing different accomplishments!  It’s so nice to be appreciated!

I don’t know how many demonstrators were in this line – but we were all very excited!

THAT'S alot of ladies...and they're all smiling!
The rest of the day was a bit of a blur. Recognition, awards, STAMPING!, and seeing a whole lot of people who I felt like I knew but really didn’t - it was sort of like seeing your favourite movie star at TIFF.

Because I am a Silver Elite level demonstrator, I was treated to “Centre Stage Live” in the evening. CentreStage Live is a wonderful dinner and celebration awarded to demonstrators who are Silver Elite and above. We were taken to the Grand America Hotel which is beautiful and were spoiled with a lovely dinner.

After dinner, we were entertained by the HILARIOUS and inspiring Jason Hewlett. I highly recommend you check him out. We laughed so hard we cried.

It was a fabulous evening and I felt completely spoiled. We even walked away with a lovely t-shirt as a gift to remember the occasion.

I finished the day feeling happy and loved with a little bit of a stomach ache from all the laughing.

To be continued.....

A New Way to Stamp

Yes. That's what I said. I NEW way to stamp.

Introducing the Stamparatus. The Stamparatus was introduced to us in Salt Lake City at OnStage and without exaggeration, the place (2,200 + people*) completely WIGGED OUT!

Check this out.

I have not talked to anyone yet who is not thrilled about the Stamparatus...well, maybe the name is not too thrilling, but I'm sure it will grow on us.

One of the most exciting things about this new tool is that both demonstrators AND customers will be able to reserve their very own Stamparatus at the same time!!  Can you say "no back-orders?"

I am so excited to get on-line at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday November 16th to reserve mine.

Remember, to reserve you Stamparatus, you must have a customer account. The orders will be placed through the Stamparatus page.

This is a new way of ordering for you AND me. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will try to help you out as best I can. I'm very excited about this great new tool. I hope you are as well!!
