Birthday card class is held on the last Sunday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (approximately). It's a quick two hours cuz we stamp (of course), chat, catch up on what's been going on in each other's lives, eat some candies, have a tea (or coffee or hot chocolate...whatever floats your boat), laugh and listen to tunes. Oh...and it's a "birthday party" so there is of course, a little git for everyone. It's always fun. I supply everything you need to complete 8 (EIGHT!) birthday cards - all you have to bring is some adhesive.
We went with a "nature" theme apparently - even though that's not what I had planned. I decided to go with some "oldies but goodies" - stamp sets that have been around for a while but have not been getting as much love as they deserve recently.
Definitely Dahlia in Sweet Sugarplum, accented with the
Stylized Birthday stamp in Night of Navy.
A little Wink of Stella on the flower's petals adds a bit of shimmer.
Oh boy. I forgot how much I love this stamp set.
Quick and easy and so effective. Elegant Eggplant
and Very Vanilla look amazing together.
Stamp set - Flower Shop
My favourite card - using Vintage Leaves.
Background stamped in Crumb Cake using a clear block (!!).
Leaf image stamped in Memento Black. This card is gorgeous!
